This educational symposium will update the medical community on the state-of-the-art care of gastric and soft tissue neoplasms, while focusing on the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of these rare and complicated disease entities; including gastric adenocarcinoma and retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcoma.
Objectives
• Identifiy the radiographic and histopathologic features of the different gastric neoplasms
• Discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic role of endoscopy in early gastric cancer
• Recognize the importance of molecular markers in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric neoplasms
• Identify novel targeted and immune therapies for advanced gastric cancer and retroperitoneal sarcomas
• Recognize the indications for various targeted therapies for gastric neoplasms
• Implement informed therapeutic decision making in the treatment of various types of gastric neoplasms
• Discuss the role of radiotherapy for primary and recurrent retroperitoneal sarcomas
