Description
The purpose of this genomics curriculum is to educate obstetrician-gynecologists and allied health care professionals about genetics and genomics as they relate to preconception/prenatal care and evaluation of women at increased risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. This mixed media curriculum will enhance physicians’ knowledge and application of genomic technologies in the fields of reproductive healthcare.

Objectives
At the end of this educational series, the learner will be able to:
• Solicit a family history to identify appropriate genetic screening.
• Counsel a preconception/prenatal patient on new carrier screening and aneuploidy screening options, and the implications of positive and negative test results.
• Discuss the pros and cons of new genetic test options for patients seeking prenatal diagnostic testing.
• Recognize and counsel patients about hereditary cancer syndromes of relevance to women’s health and develop an evidence?based testing strategy.
