OVERVIEW
Clinical Application of CAR T Cells is organized by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and would be held on Nov 16, 2017 at Mortimer B. Zuckerman Research Center, New York, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for medical oncologists and oncology fellows in training, basic scientists, research fellows in training, nurses, clinical trial research staff, immunologists, and surgeons with an interest in tumor immunology and immunotherapy.
Course Description:
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell (’Living Drug’) immunotherapy is showing promising results in the treatment of cancers. There are nine ongoing clinical trials (Phase I & II) at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) and more are on track to be initiated next year. Over the years, MSK has accumulated a breadth of knowledge about developing and translating these clinical trials from bench to bedside – choosing the ideal antigen target, constructing clinical grade CARs and vectors, investigating CARs in clinically relevant models, manufacturing, quality control, developing protocols for FDA approval, optimizing consent forms that cover emerging ethical issues, managing complications, and conducting world-class correlative science. In addition to the MSK faculty, national and international experts, will discuss clinical and translational aspects of CARs, both for hematologic malignancies and solid tumors.

• Clinical and operational infrastructure for engineered cell therapy
• Off-the-shelf cell therapies
• Combinational immunotherapy
• Next-gen immune cell gene editing
• CARs for hematologic malignancies
• CARs for solid tumors
Conference Objectives are :
• To learn new developments in CAR T-cell therapy
• To learn patient toxicity management
• To learn patient clinical tiral management algorithms
