AOSpine Advanced Symposium - Quandaries in management of spinal pathologies is organized by AO Foundation and would be held during Nov 10 - 11, 2017 at Radisson Blu Hotel Cardiff, Cardiff, England, United Kingdom.

The target audience for this medical event for This course is designed for spine surgeons at a senior level, i.e. senior specialist trainees or spinal fellows with some experience in the management of patients with spine pathologies. It will supplement your existing knowledge with improvement of your diagnostic, investigational and clinical management skills. We expect delegates to be familiar with basic core knowledge about spinal pathologies with material available on the AOSpine website.

Course Description:
The aim of this symposium is to provide an educational event for senior spinal trainees with input from the trainees and faculty on common but controversial clinical scenarios. It will entail a case-based discussion which would be supplemented with a short presentation about the current evidence base on relevant topics which would help answer the quandaries with regards to the management options. The objective of this is to stimulate discussion with all the participants and faculty members, to gain a better understanding of the management of these controversial clinical scenarios.

• Integrate their knowledge base in spinal surgery
• Construct their decision-making capabilities in spinal surgery
• Recognise the variation in spinal surgical practice and why it occurs
• Better prepare for the role of first year consultant
