OVERVIEW
American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Annual Scientific Meeting is organized by American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) and would be held during Apr 27 - 29, 2017 at Hyatt Regency Albuquerque - Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States of America. This CME conference has been approved with a maximum of 24.75 AMA PRA Category1Credits.
The target audience for this medical event are healthcare professionals representing a variety of specialties involved in the management of spinal cord injury/disorder (SCI/D). Professionals attending include, but are not limited to: physicians, basic scientists and clinical researchers,physician assistants, nurses,psychologists,social workers, rehabilitation counselors, physical and occupational therapists,as well as residents, fellows,and students from various professions.
Objectives
Upon completion of the ASIA 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting, participants will be able to:
• Inform and educate multidisciplinary clinicians who treat individuals with spinal cord injuries and their families regarding the most effective treatment methods.
• Discuss and learn cutting edge treatments, as they apply to the entire treatment team, for individuals with spinal cord injury and their families.
• Discuss state-of-the-art approaches to improving patient care and outcomes through the presentation and discussion of advances in research, medicine, and care and the impact they have on the rehabilitation patient and their support systems
• Incorporate evidence-based research outcomes into the care of patients and their families
• Network with and learn from clinicians and researchers from other disciplines in order to better understand more comprehensive and effective treatment strategies for individuals with spinal cord injury and their families.
