OVERVIEW
American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) STAR Barrett's Endotherapy Program is organized by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and will be held during Dec 02 - 03, 2017 at ASGE Institute for Training and Technology, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 27 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Overview :
The Barrett's Endotherapy STAR Certificate Program is designed to specifically teach core knowledge and motor skills in Barrett's endotherapy through case-based video sessions and intensive, standardized hands-on training. Immediately following the live components, all participants will complete a post-test, as well as a one-on-one assessment of a standardized checklist of skills. The Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those participants who meet the passing standard for both post-test and the assessment components.
Conference Objectives are :
• After attending this program, participants of this program should be able to:
Identify and describe the morphology of large or complex lesions of the tubular esophagus and gastric cardia and determine whether the use of endoscopic ablation is appropriate and feasible
• Select and demonstrate the detailed, step-by-step use of techniques in Barrett’s ablation (including RFA and cryotherapy)
• Select and demonstrate the detailed, step-by-step use of band-ligation mucosal resection before or after Barrett’s Ablation
• Demonstrate the use of techniques and endoscopic accessories for management of ablation associated adverse events
• Select appropriate surveillance intervals for post-ablation endoscopy, based on current guidelines.
