OVERVIEW

Advanced Peripheral Arterial Disease Intervention is organized by Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society (MVSS) and would be held during Apr 07 - 08, 2017 at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana, United States of America. The target audience for this medical event are Vascular surgeons from the Midwest/Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society.

This course offers a hands-on approach designed for practicing vascular surgeons and to fine tune their approach to limb salvage and treating lower extremity arterial disease. This course will address teaching a tailor made approach to managing vascular disease in terms of patient selection, approach, device selection, managing complications, radiation protection.

Program Objectives :
• Apply a comprehensive endovascular approach to limb salvage
• Describe strategies for preventing radiation protection, use of ultrasound guided access for pedal arteries, as well as unusual arterial access for lower extremity arterial interventions
• Identify how to incorporate an algorithmic approach for managing lower extremity arterial disease
• Identify an appropriate patient selection, device selection to match the arterial pathology.
• Recognize the cost associated with new technologies and how to provide cost-effective patient care.
