Advanced Laparoscopic Renal Resection Course Using Thiel's Cadavers is organized by Dundee Institute for Healthcare Simulation University of Dundee and would be held during Nov 16 - 17, 2017 at Cuschieri Skills Centre, Dundee City, Scotland, United Kingdom. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.00 Credits.
This 2-day course is aimed at Senior Trainees and Consultants who have already achieved some competency in urological laparoscopy. The operative programme will cover a wide range of techniques of laparoscopic nephrectomy. Delegate will have an opportunity to get “hand on” experience on both calf model and human cadaver to practice wide range of advanced laparoscopic techniques. During the course each participant will practice laparoscopic suturing skills, laparoscopic transperitoneal and retroperitoneal nephrectomy, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy etc. Face to face discussion with experts and close supervision will be provided during the course.
Laparoscopic courses in other specialties at our centre using Thiel's cadavers have been successful and are in high demand. With facilities available in Cuschieri Skills Centre including a range of the latest laparoscopic systems, this course should provide a surgical experience that is the closest possible to reality.
