Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) for obstetrical (OB) Provider Course is organized by Blank Children's Hospital UnityPoint Health and would be held on Nov 28, 2017 at Blank Children's Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, United States of America.The target audience for this medical event for emergency cardiac care as defined by the American Heart Association (AHA) with a focus on the obstetrical patient. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.68 credits.

Conference Objectives are :
At the completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
• Recognize and initiate early management of peri-arrest conditions that may result in cardiac arrest.
• Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care.
• Recognize and manage respiratory, cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes and stroke.
• Demonstrate effective communication as a member or leader of a resuscitation team and recognize the impact of team dynamics.
• Discuss the application of ACLS to the obstetric patient and identify considerations necessary for this population.
• Identify physiological differences in the obstetric patient.
• Discuss ethical and legal considerations in the OB setting related to an adverse outcome.
