OVERVIEW

6th Cleveland Clinic Brain Mapping Workshop: SEEG and the Hippocampus is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education and would be held during Sep 6 - 9, 2017 at Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event for Neurosurgeons and Neurologists. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 23.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
The aim of this workshop is to demonstrate and exemplify, through a practical and comprehensive approach, the utility of the stereoelectroencephalography methodology in mapping functional networks and their relations to “lesions,” therefore figure out which structures are essential in the epileptogenic network at seizure onset and in spreading patterns.

Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the analyses methods for ictal video-recordings.
• Explore the correlations between ictal signs, semiology and EEG patterns.
• Discuss the correlations between emergence of semiology, early ictal discharges and cortical functional anatomy in SEEG.
• Explore the role of semiology in presurgical investigations, especially in tailoring the SEEG electrode implantation.
• Apply the network concept of seizure organization in practice from planning the implantation to the final resection strategy.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
