The target audience for this medical event for cardiologists, internists, primary care physicians and other health care professionals with a special interest in the evaluation, diagnosis and management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. This cme conference has been approved with a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

This one-day program is designed to provide clinicians with a review of selected topics in present day management of patients with cardiac arrhythmias, emphasizing new advances in the field and incorporating current guidelines and evidence-based principles of practice.

Conference Objectives:
• Evaluate the pre-market and newly approved cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) available and select the most appropriate therapy for managing patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
• Assess evidence-based clinical studies defining the role of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for patients with persistent congestive heart failure (CHF).
• Compare and contrast the risks and benefits of warfarin vs. newer anticoagulants including the role of antidotes, and apply appropriate patient selection criteria for the treatment of patients with atrial fibrillation.
• Compare and contrast the risks and benefits of oral anticoagulation therapy vs. left atrial appendage (LAA) occlusion for the treatment of atrial fibrillation.
• Apply appropriate patient selection criteria for use of wearable defibrillator.
• Evaluate the leadless pacemaker and identify its role in arrhythmia management.
