OVERVIEW
15th Annual Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) Symposium, Special Topic Workshop & Alzheimer's Public Forum is organized by Wien Center For Alzheimer's Disease & Memory Disorders, Mount Sinai Medical Center and would be held during Jan 14 - 15, 2017 at Miami Beach Resort, Miami, Florida, United States of America.
The 2017 edition of the Symposium, Workshop and Forum will include keynote addresses and lectures, featuring national experts in the fields of neurology, psychiatry, geriatrics, neuropsychology, radiology, epidemiology, pathology and molecular biology. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 14.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Each session will be followed by an extended discussion period, allowing active audience participation to promote a better understanding of the issues.
The 2017 symposium theme is Biological and Clinical Aspects of Disorders Presenting as MCI and will feature three sessions :
• Seeding and Spread in Neurodegenerative Diseases
• Progression Rates in Preclinical and Prodromal Neurodegenerative Disorders
• Sleep Disorders and MCI
• The Special Topic Workshop will focus on Assessment of Neuropsychological Test Performance in Cross Cultural Studies.
The Public Educational Forum is intended for at-risk family members, caregivers, the community-at-large and professionals. This educational segment will focus on New Concepts in Alzheimer’s Cause, Progression and Therapy.
The purpose of the symposia has been to provide a forum where new information is provided and in depth discussions take place about the earliest stages of Alzheimers disease and other conditions that result in cognitive impairment in the elderly. The symposia have featured national and international experts in the fields of neurology, neuropsychology, psychiatry, geriatrics, epidemiology, genetics, imaging and neuropathology.
