13th Annual Midwest Hospital Medicine Conference is organized by Northwestern Medicine and would be held during Oct 19 - 21, 2017 at Feinberg Pavilion - Northwestern Memorial Hospital, chicago, Illinois, United States Of America.
This CME program is designed to meet the educational needs of Hospital Medicine Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Residents. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 15.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives are :
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Explain the challenges for hospital-based healthcare professionals in the Midwest.
• Identify nosocomial infections and how to prevent, diagnose and treat them.
• Explain risk factors for opioid abuse and strategies to minimize potential for abuse.
• Describe signs and symptoms of alcohol and opioid withdrawal and evidence based strategies to manage alcohol
and opioid withdrawal.
• Analyze inpatient guidelines for treatment of conditions such as COPD and Pneumonia.
• Describe key features of effective use of Advanced Practice Providers in hospital medicine groups and how to
