OVERVIEW

Updates in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction (AWR) 2016 is organized by Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Medical Education and would be held during Jan 14 - 16, 2016 at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin - Lake Buena Vista, FL.
The target audience for this medical event are basically for general, robotic, plastic, trauma surgeons and herniologists involved in both routine and complex abdominal reconstructions.This CME conference has been approved with 20.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
This medical conference 2016 aims to provide an atmosphere to foster collaboration, innovation, sharing of ideas and concepts related to what is new and innovative in AWR. This course will provide an interactive educational experience, in an amazing venue, with the ability to interact with our faculty of world renowned experts.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After attending the course, participants will be able to:
• Describe the various synthetic, biologic and absorbable meshes available as well as the updates in antibiotic impregnation and reinforcement of bioscaffolds
• Identify ways to reduce postoperative complications and optimize ventral hernia repairs
• Identify the surgical approaches to optimize reconstructive challenges in complex abdominal wall defects
• Discuss the role and technical advances in the robotic approach to abdominal wall reconstruction.
