Chest x-rays are the most frequently requested radiological examination, and in many departments, left to the referring clinician to interpret. Their interpretation can be particularly difficult and thus it is an essential skill for all doctors to develop an approach to chest x-ray interpretation and be able to confidently identify common pathologies. This CME Conference has been approved with 6 CPD points.

Conference Objectives :
• To understand the anatomy displayed on a normal CXR.
• To develop a robust system when interpreting CXRs.
• To be able to diagnose common and important pathologies including pneumonia, lobar collapse, pleural effusions and pneumothorax.
• To be able to pick up and localise mediastinal masses.
• To be able to identify important lines and tubes often seen on a CXR.
