Objectives :
• Identify the benign and pathologic growth patterns in infants and children.

• Distinguish common forms of seizures in infants and children and determine treatment.
• Discuss risk factors for emerging infectious diseases and formulate a differential diagnosis based upon symptoms, risk factors and travel history.
• Discuss the 2014 AAP recommendations for managing bronchiolitis and list the therapeutic options for managing infants with bronchiolitis.
• Describe causes of back pain in children and how to evaluate.
• Explain the main rationale behind sports physicals.
• Incorporate common tests for concussion into the preparticipation physical examination.
• Evaluate a presenting complaint for potential “functional” origin.
• Describe several classic presentations of malingering.
• Identify and determine management of hypercoagulable problems.
