The Richard A. Ferber Pediatric Sleep Medicine Course aims to inform clinicians about cutting edge advances in pediatric sleep medicine.The comprehensive course will address all aspects of pediatric sleep medicine relevant to practicing physicians, trainees, nurse practitioners and sleep technologists.

Topics include evaluation and management of :
• obstructive sleep apnea
• insomnia
• circadian rhythm sleep disorders
• narcolepsy
• parasomnias (sleepwalking, sleep terrors)
• sleep in children with neurodevelopmental disorders

Objectives :
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to :
• integrate simple screening tools for pediatric sleep disorders in their practice
• apply new information about the evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders in children to their patients in the office setting, and recognize reasons to refer patients to pediatric sleep physicians
• counsel patients and families on healthy sleep habits and the importance of sleep for health, safety, academic achievement and quality of life in children
