Obstetric Medicine for Trainees is organized by Imperial College London and would be held on Sep 29, 2016 at W12 Conferences, London, England, United Kingdom.
The target audience for this medical event basically for Obstetricians. This course is based on the GIM updated curriculum for Medical Problems in Pregnancy. The speakers are all expert in the field and have been involved in writing the curriculum.
At the end of the course you should be confident to :
• Recognise and manage an acutely unwell pregnant patient
• Understand the MDT approach required to manage a high risk pregnancy
• Provide a comprehensive overview of common presentations of a pregnant woman with a medical condition
The programme will include the following :
• Normal pregnancy : physiological changes, antenatal care, what to expect on the labour ward
• Sepsis in pregnancy
• Drugs in pregnancy
• Hypertensive disorders, complications and the long-term risk of PET
• The heart and pregnancy
• Cardiac workshop
• Seizures and headaches in pregnancy workshop
• Clinical cases workshop
