OVERVIEW
This annual meeting addresses advances in the intersection between neuroscience and clinical practice. From the insights of basic neuroscience on disease and drug mechanisms to the practical application of cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, NEI Synapse is for expert clinicians who practice beyond first-line approaches to address the problems of patients whose needs are "ahead of the guidelines".
Expert faculty will explain how the latest advances in basic neuroscience, genetics, imaging, neurostimulation, and neuropharmacology can be applied to the clinical treatment of patients suffering from difficult-to-treat and treatment-resistant disorders, including:
- Neurodevelopmental disorders
- Drug-induced movement disorders
- Psychiatric consequences of neurologic disorders
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Inflammation, microbiota, and the brain
- Alzheimer's disease
- Lewy body dementia
- Mood disorders
