National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) Spring Clinical Vaccinology Course 2016 is organized by National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) and would be held during Mar 18 - 20, 2016 at Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona, United States Of America.

The targeted audience for this medical event basically for physicians (family, infectious disease specialists, internists, and pediatricians), nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, public health professionals, vaccine program administrators, and other healthcare professionals.

The main focus of this National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) Spring Clinical Vaccinology Course 2016 is on new developments and issues related to the use of vaccines.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe how vaccines work in providing individual and community protection
• Describe the current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) immunization recommendations across the lifespan
• Describe indications, contraindications, efficacy, and safety profiles for ACIP recommended vaccines including recommendations for people with immunocompromising and medical conditions as well as international travelers and healthcare personnel
• Discuss innovative and practical strategies to improve communication with patients, parents, and caregivers about the risks and benefits of vaccination
• Recognize attitudinal, knowledge, and other barriers contributing to suboptimal vaccination rates
• Identify best practices for implementing or improving immunization programs in specific practice settings
