OVERVIEW

First Annual Seminar in Anatomic Pathology is organized by Geisinger Health System (GHS) and would be held during Sep 16 - 18, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pennsylvania, United States of America. The target audience for this medical evnet basically for practicing pathologists, fellows, residents and other health care professionals.

This seminar in diagnostic surgical pathology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) will allow practicing anatomic pathologists to become proficient in the application of diagnostic IHC in different sub specialties and to recognize newly described entities in different organs and how to work up a diagnostic challenging case. This CME conference has been approved with 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

Objectives :

At the conclusion of this seminar, participants should be able to:
• Apply the best-practice concept of using IHC in daily practice
• Communicate results effectively with the clinician and better appreciate the importance of triple test (clinical, radiological and histologic) correlation
• Demonstrate improvement in diagnostic skills in problematic surgical cases
• Describe the applications and pitfalls of newly described IHC markers
• Describe the most important molecular tests in select sub specialty areas of anatomic pathology
• Recognize newly described entities in different organ
