Caldicott Guardians: National Annual Conference (Oct, 2016)

The delegates are pleased to announce the national annual Caldicott Guardians Conference will be chaired and has been produced in association with Christopher Fincken, Chair, The UK Council of Caldicott Guardians.

The conference aims to bring current and aspiring Caldicott Guardians together to understand current issues and the national context, and to debate and discuss key issues and areas they are facing in practice.

Following National Update sessions, key areas will focus on developing your skills as an effective Caldicott Guardian, a focus on hot topics including FGM reporting, the use of mobile devices in hospital, implementing the new GMC guidance on confidentiality, the summary care record, information disclosure to the police, Caldicott Decision Making and understanding the legal context including consent after Lanarkshire and the Duty of Candour.
