7th Phoenix Fetal Cardiology Symposium is organized by Phoenix Children's Hospital and would be held during May 3 - 7, 2016 at FireSky Resort and Spa, Scottsdale, Arizona, United States of America.
The targeted audience for this medical event basically for physicians, sonographers and nurses in the fields of Pediatric Cardiology, Fetal Cardiology, Obstetrics, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Neonatology, and Radiology, as well as other paramedical colleagues.
The information presented will also benefit those who care for neonates with cardiac disease or those who plan to embark on fetal ultrasonography as their career.Attendees will have the opportunity to present accepted poster abstracts focused on fetal cardiac disease.
This four-day conference will discuss important concepts in congenital heart disease as well as the most recent advances in imaging, diagnosis and management of fetal cardiac abnormalities.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understand machine optimization for imaging of normal fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology relating to cardiac screening as well as the imaging of congenital heart disease and fetal circulation, cardiac output and cardiac function.
2. Demonstrate the appropriate use of z-score measurements, including appropriateness and indication for measurements, where to measure, and how to interpret
3. Discuss common missed lesions in fetal congenital heart disease, and discuss clues and features that may permit early and accurate diagnosis
4. Describe and discuss the physiologic responses present in the fetus when congenital heart disease results in reduced oxygenation
