Chaired by Mark Easton, BBC Home Editor, The Independent Ambulance Association (IAA) annual conference will focus on ‘Ambulance Services of Tomorrow’ and the developing role of the Independent Ambulance Service.
A key area of focus this year will be learning from Europe. Kenneth Kronohage, Business Development manager at Falck Danmark A/S Emergency Europe will discuss the European Perspective, updating delegates on the development and learning from private ambulance services in different countries across Europe where private ambulances provide the vast majority of the A&E service and deployment under public sector control. Sue Noyes, Chief Executive of East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust will identify learning from Europe and implications for the UK Ambulance Sector.
The conference will continue with a case study focus on developing closer working relationships and working in partnership. Case studies will focus on working in partnership with the NHS, which will be delivered on behalf of the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives, working in partnership with patients, working in partnership with police and developing specialist mental health specific ambulance services.
