Business Development of Expert Witnessing

This program is designed for those emergency physicians and advanced practice providers who wish to be engaged in the evaluation of legal cases involving the practice of emergency medicine. The function of this course is to help medical people better understand the legal system and how the expert witness functions in aiding the court in making decisions.

The purpose of this course is to give Medical providers an overview of what it takes to be involved within the system. The various approaches to medical/legal cases will be discussed such that a course participant, following this presentation, should be able to function in an effective manner within the legal system as well as manage the business aspects of expert witnessing.
