OVERVIEW
At the conclusion of the meeting attendees should be able to:
1) Formulate and practice techniques to optimize trans-vaginal hysterectomy and other minimally invasive approaches to perform hysterectomy.
2) Identify and discuss the surgical anatomy of the female pelvis as it relates to gynecologic surgery and the biomechanics of continence and pelvic support.
3) Describe current national initiatives to minimize surgical risk and improve ability to manage complications such as intraoperative hemorrhage.
4) Cite the data regarding the routine use of cystoscopy to recognize intraoperative urinary tract injury during gynecologic surgery.
5) Formulate and practice techniques for hysteroscopy in gynecologic practice.
