Using didactic and clinical case presentations, an expert faculty will highlight innovations and recent developments in transcatheter valvular and structural heart disease interventions. Attendees will better understand the process of the “Heart Team” and how it can be implemented in clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.
The course will review the essentials of pre, intra and post-procedural management of patients undergoing left atrial appendage closure, aortic stenosis and mitral regurgitation. More specifically, the course will focus on concepts related to patient selection, multi-modality imaging and procedural techniques. We will also address closure of patent foramen ovale, atrial and ventricular septal defects and paravalvular leaks.
