OVERVIEW
Develop, refresh, or advance your knowledge in common airway management situations. Our experienced faculty provides an overview of airway anatomy and the exam findings associated with a difficult airway. Special considerations in the preparation, approach, and pharmacology associated with airway management in the critical care patient are also covered in detail. Receive extensive hands-on intubation experience with direct laryngoscopy, both individually and as a part of an airway team. Employ essential crew resource management principles to maximize the effectiveness of your team during simulated clinical scenarios, and receive a brief introduction to available airway adjuncts that can be employed when initial intubation attempts are not successful.
