Description: The 1st OBF Summit 2019 is aimed at national and international clinicians and scientists interested in Ocular Blood Flow. This summit will take place on Mount Rigi, the ‘queen of the mountains’ (close to Lucerne), and in addition to scientifically advanced seminars, the programme will also include short hikes in which the topics will be discussed in more detail. The initiator and chair of the event is Prof. Emer. Josef Flammer, former chief physician of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Basel, Switzerland. He is one of the most influential experts on glaucoma worldwide and holds numerous awards for his scientific work. To date, more than 30 internationally and nationally renowned expert speakers have confirmed their attendance and will present their work at the 1st OBF Summit 2019. The seminars and workshops will cover basic research, diagnostics, ocular diseases and treatment options, all in the context of ocular blood flow. The summit has a modular structure so participants can attend either the entire summit or individual days. Credits: 24 credits (6 credits per day) have been granted by the SOG-SSO. 8 credits (2 credits per day) have been granted by the SBAO-SSOO.
