Zoltan Kalo is a Professor of Health Economics at the Center for Health Technology Assessment, Semmelweis University. He serves as a policy advisor to global health care corporations, public decision-makers, and the European Commission. Zoltán is the founder and CEO of Syreon Research Institute, an international research corporation specializing in health economic modeling and technology assessment.
He has 25 years of international experience in academia and industry, specializing in health systems design, HTA, outcomes research, economic modeling, and strategic pricing of healthcare technologies.
Zoltan gained international experience in England (1995-96) and Switzerland (1999-2003). He spent 10 years in executive positions at Novartis Pharma before moving to the academic sector in 2006.
His most recent research topics are the HTA implementation in emerging economics and influencing factors on the accessibility of patients to medical technologies.
