Zohreh Sarah Soltani, MD, FACP, FASN received her medical degree from the Hamadan University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Her post-graduate training includes a one-year research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; an internal medicine residency at the Nassau University Medical Center, New York; and a nephrology fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Science Center, New Orleans.

Dr. Soltani was a clinical assistant professor at the Nephrology Section at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC-NO) for 5 years and was a staff attending in private practice for a year before performing a fellowship in transplant nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Soltani is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology. She is a published author of various articles and has 13 years of experience as a principal and co-investigator in clinical nephrology trials. Dr. Soltani is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and a merit assistant professor at LSUHSC-NO. She also holds membership in several professional organizations such as the American Society of Transplant, the American Society of Nephrology, and the American College of Physicians.
