Zoë Blake as CEO of XenZone, Zoë Blake is on a mission to deliver a future of better mental health for everyone. It’s a vision driven by her belief in the technology as an agent for positive change, fueled by her own personal family experience of the devastating effect of mental ill health. XenZone is a pioneer in digital mental health having launched its first service, Kooth, in 2004. Today, Kooth is available to 50% of young people aged 11-18 years across the UK. The platform offers frictionless access to mental health and emotional wellbeing support, including psychoeducational content, peer-to-peer support, and text-based interventions with accredited counsellors without wait or the need for referral. Under Zoë’s stewardship, XenZone has expanded its services to reach students and adults, both as a public service and through private pay models. Building upon its uniquely rich data set of real-time therapeutic interventions, XenZone is using AI and machine learning to create new models in preventative, early response mental healthcare.
