Zhe Li PhD

Prof. Zhe Li established his independent research group and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at ShanghaiTech University. He obtained his Ph.D. from Heidelberg University under the supervision of Prof. Henri-Jacques Delecluse, where his research focused on virology, particularly the pathogenesis of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated cancers. His representative work, published as the first author in Nature Microbiology (2019) and PNAS (2021). During his second postdoctoral fellowship, he worked with Prof. Hedda Wardemann, shifting his focus to B-cell immunology. Using SARS-CoV-2 as a model, we studied the immune response of memory B cells after infection in humans at the single-cell level. His selected work, published as first author in Immunity (2024).
