Yvonne Silove is an Associate Director in the National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Prog at Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP). She leads the development and quality assurance of the National Clinical Audit Programme. This centrally funded portfolio of around 30 national projects supports clinicians to measure and improve the care they deliver, and enables patients, healthcare commissioners, and regulators, to be informed about the quality of a wide range of healthcare services. Yvonne engages regularly with clinical and policy leads in NHS England and the Welsh Government, professional societies, and patient groups to develop the specific improvement focus and key features of each audit.
Yvonne gained her medical degree from the University of Cambridge, and before joining HQIP she spent 16 years as an NHS doctor specializing first in pediatrics and then in Audiovestibular Medicine, qualifying as a consultant in 2010.
