Dr. Yves Allenbach, MD, PhD, is Professor–Hospital Practitioner in the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Immunology at Sorbonne University and Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris, France. He is a physician-scientist at the Myology Research Center and a member of the National Reference Center for Myositis.
Dr. Allenbach specializes in autoimmune myopathies, clinical immunology, and inflammatory muscle diseases, with particular expertise in the diagnosis, classification, and management of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies and immune-related adverse events associated with cancer immunotherapy.
Dr. Allenbach earned his Doctor of Medicine with specialization in Internal Medicine and completed a PhD in Immunology at Sorbonne University. He also obtained his Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) from Université Paris-Sud, reflecting his leadership in translational immunology and clinical research. His work integrates patient care with laboratory investigation, using clinical data, biological samples, and experimental models to better understand the mechanisms underlying autoimmune muscle diseases and to develop innovative therapeutic strategies.
