Yuyan Shi PhD

Yuyan Shi is a health policy analyst and health economist with research interests in policy and economic analysis of drug use and abuse, including but not limited to tobacco, cannabis, opioid analgesics, and other illicit and prescription drugs. She is interested in understanding the epidemiology and geographic patterns of drug use, evaluating the effects of drug policies in vulnerable subgroups and the general population as a whole, applying behavioral economics and experimental approaches to assess preferences for drugs and responses to policies, and examining the impacts of retail environments. She specializes in econometrics and statistical modeling, spatial analysis, conjoint analysis, behavioral experimental design, and policy evaluation using primary and secondary population data.
