Yuval Ramot holds an MD and an MSc degree in Biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Following his medical training, he has specialized in hair research in the Department of Dermatology at Lubeck University, Germany. Later, he joined the Department of Dermatology in Hadassah and the Center for Genetic Diseases of the Skin and Hair and focused on the research of genetic skin and hair diseases and toxicology of the skin. His main clinical interest is inflammatory diseases of the skin, and he is the director of psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa clinics in Hadassah. He is the recipient of the Minerva Post-doctoral Fellowship and the Young Dermatologist International Achievement Award. He is a member of the European Hair Research Society board and the Israel Society of Dermatology and Venereology board. In addition, he is part of the Editorial Board of Experimental Dermatology. He has co-authored 10 chapters in books and more than 170 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
