Yusuf Ali PhD

Yusuf completed his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Florida. He has over thirty years of experience in drug development in multiple therapeutic areas, but especially in ophthalmology in companies such as Alcon and Santen.

In 2017, he joined RIBOMIC Inc. as a CEO of its US subsidiary in Berkeley, California and as a corporate officer of the parent company headquartered in Tokyo. Yusuf is currently responsible for the clinical development of RIBOMIC’s lead asset, the in-house developed anti-FGF aptamer (RBM-007) in age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
