Dr. Yusef Sayeed is an interventional pain physician with primary specialty training and board certification in Occupational Medicine. He completed his medical doctorate at the University of Kentucky where he also completed his master's degree in Public Health. He also has a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville. After medical school, he completed a research fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Mayo Clinic. He then completed his internship at the University of Pennsylvania and his residency training at West Virginia University where he was chief resident. He then went on to complete his subspecialty training in interventional pain medicine at Deuk Spine Institute in Florida. His research interests focus on functional restoration, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and preventing and treating work injuries.

He has published numerous articles in various peer-reviewed journals and presents talks at both national and international academic conferences. He also reviews for journals including the Journal of ultrasound in medicine and reviews continuing medical examinations for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine where he is the vice-chair of the therapeutic ultrasound community. He serves on various national organizations including the North American Spine Society and the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is an advisory panel member on the Food and Drug Administration medical device advisory panel for orthopedic and rehab devices.
