Yunsheng Yang MD, PhD

Dr. Yun-sheng Yang M.D. is a professor and gastroenterologist in the Microbiota Division, Dept of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Institute of Digestive Diseases as Chairman, the Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital), in Beijing, China. His interests are GI Microbiota, therapeutic endoscopy. His research priority focuses on GI microbiota and robots for soft-endoscopy.

His team studied and reported that FMT was effective for ulcerative colitis, autism in 2015, and for Tic disorder, psoriasis, and so on. In recent 10 years, his group has been concentrating on robots for soft endoscopy. They invented a robot-assistance system YunSRobot and published the study of gastroscopy in human volunteers in 2017, and completed remote manipulation of gastroscopy in 2018, etc.

Dr. Yang is honored and serves the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology (CSG) as the immediate past president, CSG Microbiota Committee as the Chairman, WGO scientific committee, and nomination committee members. So far, more than 200 articles in Chinese journals and over 100 papers in international journals have appeared.
