Yue Cao PhD, MSPH

Dr. Cao graduated from the joint program (MSPH in Epidemiology, and Ph.D. in Medical Sociology) at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He has focused on outcomes research for people with spinal cord injury since 2010 when he had Postdoc training at the National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center. His research interests include SCI Epidemiology, health disparities, and psychosocial perspectives on rehabilitation outcomes. He has authored or co-authored 41 publications in peer-reviewed journals and made 43 presentations at national or international academic conferences. As a Principal Investigator, he has been awarded three extramural grants, including two from the South Carolina Spinal Cord Injury Research Fund and one from the Administration for Community Living of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
