Young Woo Kim MD, PhD. FRCS

Dr. Kim is basically surgical oncologist for gastric cancer. He is a pioneer of laparoscopic gastrectomy in Korea. He performed over 3,000 laparoscopic gastrectomies already. He has accomplished randomized clinical trial and published recently making level I evidence on this. He organized and finished multicenter trial on laparoscopic gastrectomy for advanced gastric cancer thereafter. Recently new biggest trial was commenced with a name of ADDICT trial enrolling 1,880 patients, Not only clinical trial for laparoscopic gastrectomy, but many clinical trials on gastric cancer was co-leaded by him in Korea. He is also interested in developing medical device. He is PI of The project of developing three dimensional laparoscopic system supported by Ministry of Knowledge and Economy
