Yosuke Seki MD, PhD

Yosuke Seki, MD, PhD is a consultant bariatric surgeon at the Weight Loss and Metabolic Surgery Center and the chief at the Division of Clinical Research, Yotsuya Medical Cube, Tokyo. He graduated in medicine and trained in surgery at Osaka University, Osaka. He completed two overseas clinical fellowships in bariatric/metabolic surgery. His specific clinical and research interest is the effects of gastrointestinal surgery on the pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes, especially for Asians. He is a board-certified surgeon in general surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He won the 1st prize at the laparoscopic suturing technique competition during the JSES (Japan Society for Endoscopic Surgery) annual meeting in 2005.
