Yoshitsugu Terauchi DMD, PhD

Dr. Yoshitsugu Terauchi is a part-time Professor at Tokyo Medical & Dental University and has maintained a private practice limited to endodontics since 1998 in Tokyo, Japan. He earned his DDS in 1993 and completed his residency at Tokyo Medical & Dental University in 1995, where he also received his PhD from the Department of Endodontics. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals nationally and internationally. He also authored several chapters in textbooks including the 11th edition of Pathways of the Pulp.

Dr. Terauchi is a founder of the biggest dental training center in Japan limited to endodontics called Dental Arts Academy. The main scientific focus of Dr. Terauchi has been Broken File Removal, bypassing the ledges and MTA-obturation in the field of endodontics. He is an inventor of numerous methods and technics in broken file removal, including specific devices and instruments such as the famous TFRK (Terauchi File Retrieval Kit), 812 MT endomotor, and many others.
