Dr. Golowa received his BA degree, Magna Cum Laude from Yeshiva University in 1998 and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine in 2002. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center and then went to Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School for fellowship training in Vascular/Interventional Radiology before coming to Montefiore. He is boarded in Diagnostic Radiology by the ACR and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular/Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Golowa has expertise in performing a wide range of vascular procedures including uterine fibroid embolization, angiography, angioplasty, tumor embolization, vascular access, and treating venous disease in pediatric and adult patients. He has extensive experience in minimally invasive treatments of liver disease including treatment of portal hypertension as well as interventional oncology treatments of liver tumors.
He has lectured and presented abstracts at multiple national meetings have served as co-investigator in numerous clinical trials. Dr. Golowa continues to be at the forefront of new minimally invasive therapies and involved in training fellows and residents in these new techniques.
