Dr. Yolisha Singh is the first female chair of SCAFP, and one of the first RANZCP dual-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists. She is also an inadvertent collector of adventures and stories. Her peripatetic career has spanned her home in rural South Africa, the villages of Nepal, and the cities of the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia.

Her current specialist appointments include Director of Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry - NSW and principal psychiatrist on the only adolescent secure inpatient unit in Australia. She previously held appointments as the Clinical Director of Adolescent Mental Health (JH&FMHN) in NSW and also provides private court assessments and reports through FACE Psychiatry in Sydney.

Her academic appointment is as a conjoint lecturer in psychiatry with the UNSW. Her research interests include family work, trauma and psychosis, and service development; specifically in regard to child and adolescent forensic populations.
