Yingda is a Mass spectrometrist by training. He has Rich experience in late stage characterization in GMP environment to develop and validate assays to address FDA requirements. He has Broadened analytical background by joining an exciting antibody discovery start-up company. He Set up high throughput assays to support KD screening and biophysical characterization of antibodies at 1000 clone/week speed. Developed MSD based solution equilibrium affinity measurement that revolutionized the speed for high affinity measurement and making KinExA obsolete.
His Recent research interests include high throughput KD ranking and epitope binning of antibodies. He Studying antigen:antibody binding epitope using low to high resolution methods, such as binning, peptide mapping and mass spectrometry based method for amino acid level epitopes.
His Development of high throughput and robust screening assays to fit the work flow at the early stage antibody discovery platform, targeting antibody self- and cross- interaction to screen for antibody developability. Attempting to develop antibody developability rule of thumb, similar to Lipinski rule of five for small molecules. A few papers published in this area to show the connection between poor pK connecting to poor cross-interaction profile and solubility with self-interaction propensity.
