Ying-yu Chao PhD, RN, GNP-BC

Dr. Ying-Yu Chao, a clinical assistant professor, joined the Rutgers, School of Nursing faculty in 2014. Dr. Chao received a Ph.D. degree in nursing and an M.S. degree as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York. She received B.S.N. from Chang Gung University, Taiwan.

Dr. Chao is a bilingual and bicultural Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with a clinical background in rehabilitation, gerontology, and mental health. In 2018, she was the lead teaching faculty for the Rutgers School of Nursing’s first international Continuing Care Residency Program to provide long-term care education for visiting nurses.
