Dr. Yik Lim graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed his obstetrics and gynecology specialty training at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Victoria. Following a senior registrar year in the United Kingdom, he spent a further four years of subspecialty training in urogynaecology in Queensland and Victoria. During his training, he received multiple awards which included the Brown Craig Travelling Scholarship (for learning urogenital fistulae repair in India), the Bill Boyd Black Bottle Award, and the Christopher Kohlenberg medal (for best research presentations) as well as the AMS Travelling Scholarship to attend ICS meeting in the Netherlands (for top scoring urogynaecology subspecialty examination in Australia). He was awarded his fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) in 2004 and his subspecialty Certificate in Urogynaecology (CU) in 2007.
