Yelena MD

Yelena is medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, including esophagus and stomach cancers. My research focuses on the development of new treatments for patients with esophagus and stomach cancers, and She is particularly interested in finding ways to select the best treatments for persons with cancer based on the molecular characteristics of their tumor specimens. I run clinical and translational studies designed to develop a better prevention, early diagnosis, staging, and treatment strategies. She the Principal Investigator on a number of clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering. My research has been supported by grants from the National Cancer Institute, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
